Lewes Ceilidhs

The aim of Lewes Ceilidhs is to put on regular ceilidhs to give the people of Lewes and beyond the opportunity to stretch their legs and laughing muscles. Our next dance will be held at a new venue, The Lewes Con Club which is a non-profit making, private members club.

Lewes Ceilidhs -Last Dance of the Season - 20th June 2008

Time – dancing will be from 8pm to 11pm but the club will be open from the afternoon and generally stays open to 12pm

The club is a non-profit making, private members club with a great atmosphere and a fantastic, fully stocked bar which serves a fine pint of Harveys. Members of the club will have free entry to the dance and non-members will be charged £5 adults and £4 children (not too small please). Tickets will not be on sale in advance but you can reserve yours by emailing me via the website or phoning on 01273 480029.

The music will be created by the fantastic Linda Game and superb Adam Bushell. They have played together for many years and their sound is full and exciting: Adam’s strong rhythmic guitar playing leaves space for Linda’s imaginative improvisation. I will be calling a selection of dances to suit all abilities.

Come and make this first dance at the Con Club go with a whirl. Bring your friends and your laughter.
